This compact computer is smaller than the standard and midsize tower PCs that fit under your desk, making it ideal for limited work areas. Small case designs vary, too. However, such PCs tend to be underpowered (especially on gaming), and mini cases also have few available expansion slots and drive bays. Generally you'll have to expand the system via USB, FireWire, or eSATA peripherals, so make sure your compact system has a large number (and assortment) of ports.
Strengths: * Design/Form Factor* Price* Quiet
Weaknesses: * Lack of ports (USB/Firewire)* 5400 RPM HD
Overall Evaluation: This is a great little machine that I got for a little more than $600. For that price, you get a machine that was probably faster than my old computer (quicksilver 867) and is probably 4-5x smaller than it. It does pretty much everything a regular user would want (pictures, movies, music, web surfing, email, etc.) and it's pretty zippy. You probaby won't be playing games or doing a lot of graphics intensive work on this machine, but for a general use computer that it's pretty virus free, this is perfect.
